It’s designed to help you become familiar with data analytics, communicate data findings and incorporate managerial skills in an organizational environment. This program focuses on how to classify data and how to apply data analysis to organizational decisions relating to opportunities and risks. It is not intended as an information technology or computer science program.
Program Overview
Effective July 2, 2019, this program is no longer available for future enrollments at the Colorado Springs and Aurora Campuses.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics (BSBA-DA) is a 180-credit hour program that is offered online and at the Colorado campuses. It consists of 66 general education credits, 86 credit hours devoted to the business administration core, and 28 credit hours in the data analytics concentration.
This program is designed to help students become familiar with data analytics and ways to incorporate managerial skills in an organization as it relates to business strategy and a data mining platform. The content is designed to provide students with the understanding of how data collection occurs and can be used toward informed business decisions. The program focuses on helping students develop knowledge of how to classify data and see how data analysis applies to organizational decisions to predict future opportunities and risks.
This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification. As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.

Executive Program DirectorDr. Catherine McBride has been at CTU since January 2021, serving as an Executive Program Director for the College of Business and Management. Catherine has been in higher education for 22 years, with 18 years of online education experience across a variety of institutions in varying capacities but always serving non-traditional learners.
Dr. David Gliddon
Executive Program DirectorDr. Gliddon is an Executive Program Director in the College of Business and Management. In previous roles at CTU, he was a Program Chair and Lead Faculty. He has taught over 20 courses in the undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral programs. He has provided service to the university on a number of committees and special projects.

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Data Analytics Degree Program is designed to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant for pursuing potential opportunities in the workforce. This business degree program emphasizes how data analysis is used to make informed business decisions and is designed to help students become familiar with data analytics, communicate data findings, and incorporate managerial skills in an organizational environment. This program also focuses on how to classify data and how to apply data analysis to organizational decisions relating to opportunities and risks.
As you work to complete your BSBA in Data Analytics, you will be immersed in courses where you will study these topics and much more: identifying patterns in data; how big data
applied to business analysis; and the influence of new data sources in shifting the role of analytics.
Courses for the BSBA Data Analytics degree program start online approximately every five weeks. Completion of the CTU admissions process will depend on how quickly you complete the steps in the CTU online application process. You may complete the application process over the phone with an advisor or you may go online. Once you’ve completed the online application, you may hear from an advisor within the following 24 hours to discuss the next steps toward starting your degree program.
The BSBA in Data Analytics degree program consists of 180 credits. You may be eligible for transfer credit, which is evaluated on an individual basis. Not all credits are eligible to transfer. CTU Fast Track™ exams offer the opportunity to earn college credit for what you already know—allowing you to complete a degree up to 30% faster.1
